Rockhampton was full of friendly people. Robby from Ascot Stone Grill invited us all to a scrumptious meal at Ascot Backpackers, good hot showers all round were welcome. Then things started to go wrong mechanically, luckilly right in Rockhampton itself. Toyota took the car in for a quick new clutch. Thank goodness for warentee!
What perfect timing though, imagine the clutch falling out accross the top end somewhere! While the Hilux was in at Toyota, TIBBS FLEET SERVICE squeezed in a quick inspection of our Scania tour bus, fixing the horn, indicator, power steering fluid and fuel guage. Setting us back on the road with a few litres of spare oil for good luck we were out of there promtly, thanks for the quick service Peter Tibbs!
 Then, getting back to the kids at the gorgeous Botanic Park in Rockhampton, Kadi, the Texan (not American!) and the rest of the crew were ready to get going up the Bruce Highway
Back to the road for me.... Townsville awaits some time next week!
