Cairns

Cairns welcomed us with a fantastic stay at Coconut Palms BIG 4 Resort. The kids have had a chance to play with other holiday makers, relax and rest up ahead of the journey accross the Savannah Way towards Darwin.

Thanks very much to Sydney R. Turner Retravision for our new Mitsubishi up-side-down Fridge,  Geo Pickers for some camping equipment, FNQ Mobile Windscreens for replacing the screen in the Toyota Hilux, autObarn for some auto goods and  Errol at the Fruit Bat on the highway north of Cairns who made sure we had plenty of fresh fruit and vegies on our way out east. His encouraging words stayed with us all the way up the hill to Karundah. Thanks to all the motorists who were patient and applauding as I carved up the k's. Bonnie, Austin and I enjoyed a trip on the Kurandah Steam Train and the Sky Rail. Lizzie looked around the markets in town.
